ERMITA DE SANTA ISABEL (HERMITAGE OF ST. ISABEL)

This simple and beuatiful construction with its bell tower with three arches bade farewell to travelers taking the old royal Highway to Campeche. As such, the Ermita is also known as “ Our Lady of the Good Journey “.

MONUMENTO A LA PATRIA Monument to the Flag (Country)

This monumental sculputure was carved out of quarry block by Colombian sculptor Romulo Rozo. The Project, wich took twelve years to complete, was finally concluded in 1944. It represents the history of Mexico with Mayan symbolism, and especially the iconografy of Yucatán, predominating.
