Merida
Our institute is located in the north east of the beautiful colonial city of Merida named by UNESCO "World Heritage Site" and also the first 'Cultural Capital' in Latin America; besides it was mentioned as the fifth best city of the world to live by Travel and Leisure magazine. Merida is only 1 hr from "Chichen Itza" one of the new Seven Wonders of the World.
Hospitals, banks, travel agencies, theaters are an important part of the city. Merida is known for being a pretty, safe city and lately it has also become an excellent place to invest in real state properties. You can walk late at night around being sure there is nothing to be afraid of. Night life, clubs and restaurants are also popular for people of all ages. Most of them are in the main avenue called Paseo Montejo and a few are downtown.
If you like to watch or dance salsa music Merida is also the right place, you must go to one of the several salsa dancing clubs or even better take some classes!
